Hello everyone. My name is Naurin Moledina and I’m the US Tax Partner with RMI
Professional Corporation. Along with being a US tax partner, I’m also a certified and authorized partner with Everything DiSC: A Wiley Brand.
Today’s topic or today’s discussion is going to be about using DiSC personalities at an accounting firm. At RMI we’re very strong believers in DiSC personalities.
We take the opportunity to hire based on the DiSC personality types depending on what type we’re looking for, what team we’re looking at, and what type of client we would like to service.
Finding the right match
We ensure that our clients are matched with appropriate personality types so that there is clear communication amongst all parties such as the partners, the bookkeepers, the accountants, and of course, the clients.
Let me give you a little bit of a brief overview of DiSC.
DiSC personality types
D is for dominance. Individuals with D personality traits tend to normally have a fast-paced orientation. They generally are very outspoken. They’re direct and they’re results-focused.
Individuals that belong to the I personality type which is influential individuals, they’re very colorful people. They enjoy being happy. They enjoy seeing the positives in everything and they’re full of ideas.
Individuals with C personality traits that belong to the conscientious side of things are more rational. They’re thought processed. They are very analytical and they’re research-driven as well.
Individuals with the S personality traits that belong to the steadiness group are more stable, they’re very warm and welcoming and they are also very thought-processed. Their biggest trait is to be very patient.
Those are the four categories or the four types of personality traits that belong to DiSC.
How can your business benefit from DiSC
How can you benefit from DiSC and assigning the right teams in your corporation?
We can always use DiSC to go in and have the right staff member work with the right managers or the right partners or the right owners work with the right staff members.
We can also have different teams come in with all four different types so that they can bring in various ideas and different thought processes in order to achieve the results that you as the business owner want to achieve and see and grow.
